MICROBLADING

MICROBLADING

Tired of spending precious mornings to perfecting your eyebrows? Picture effortlessly waking up to flawlessly shaped brows every day, with microblading at Elora's PMU. Eyebrows play a very important role in framing facial features, especially with the current trend leaning towards bold brows. Fortunately, microblading offers a solution for those with sparse brows, granting them the illusion of fuller, more defined eyebrows that retain a natural appearance.

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that enhance the shape and colour of eyebrows. It uses a handheld pen-like tool with fine needles with a tip resembling a slope-blade. The pigments are deposited into the skin by making a superficial incision with the help of the tool. We use skin friendly and medical-grade cosmetic pigments.

Q&A

How is microblading eyebrow different from ombre brow?

  1. microblading and ombre brows are two different techniques of permanent makeup. while Microblading uses a handheld tool to mimic a natural hair stroke, ombre brows uses a rotary digital tool making a slight puncture into the skin creating a thousand of tiny dots to create a soft powdered effect resembling a makeup look. Microblading has its own limitations as it can be done mostly on normal to dry skin, as it tends to fades and blur out much faster on oily skin. In contrast, ombre powdered brow is suitable for all skin types, regardless of whether they are oily, acne-prone, mature, or sensitive.

Does Microblading hurt?

  1. The sensation experienced during microblading isn't typically described as painful; rather, it's more of a sensation. This is largely due to the application of numbing ointment beforehand. Some individuals may find the sound of the blade, similar to a slight scratching and discomfort.
  2. If you find the pain intolerable, inform your artist so they can reapply numbing gel to further numb the area.

How do I prepare myself for microblading?

  1. Do not consume alcohol 24-48 hrs prior to your procedure.
  2. Do not workout on the day of the procedure.
  3. Avoid taking any fish oils and blood thinners for about a week prior.
  4. Disclose all the medical conditions.

What is the after care?

  1. Refrain from direct exposure to sunlight, sauna sessions, swimming, chemical peels, laser treatments, or intense exercise for at least a week following the procedure.
  2. Resist the urge to pick or scratch your brows, even if it itches, which is typical during the initial days.
  3. Avoid direct contact of water on your treated brow area.
  4. Use the ointment recommended by the artist to assist in the healing process

What happens in the meantime?

Following the provided aftercare instructions is essential, and it's important to refrain from picking or scratching the treated area. As your eyebrows heal, you may experience some irritation, which is completely normal. Over the next ten days, you may notice changes in the colour and texture of your eyebrows, including flakiness and apparent fading. Rest assured; this is a natural part of the healing process. Your final eyebrow colour and shape will become apparent after approximately 30 days, once they are fully healed. Any necessary touch-ups can be addressed during the second session.

How many sittings are there and when does it happen?

At Elora's PMU, we offer a two-session process. During the initial session, we carefully analyse and map out the brow frame, focusing on subtle and natural work. The second session occurs after 3-4 weeks, during which we assess the brow's progress and make any necessary adjustments to achieve perfection. This may involve adding more strokes or adjusting the shade to align with the client's preferences.
